Oh Zeus! opens at the Queen's Theatre on 7 October, and fireworks are set for 6 and 7 November. 40 dated Romford and Havering events, with times and prices.

The six weeks from Friday 2 October run from Le Navet Bete’s Oh Zeus! at the Queen’s Theatre to the borough’s first fireworks. Half term in Havering is Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, and the Queen’s Theatre has a children’s show on most days of it. Two school fireworks displays are dated: Friday 6 November in Romford and Saturday 7 November in Upminster. New this week: a Sense and Sensibility costume exhibition at Rainham Hall, running to 19 December.

Updated 2 October: passed dates removed; Rainham Hall’s Sense and Sensibility exhibition, a Havering Museum talk and its Friday reminiscence afternoons, Fairkytes’ Silver exhibition and six more Queen’s Theatre shows added. Neither fireworks display had tickets on sale when we checked.

What we could not list

Havering Libraries’ events site still sits behind a browser check, so none of its sessions appear above: use Havering Libraries events directly. Brookside Theatre’s booking pages would not load either, which is why its shows carry dates without times or prices (Brookside Theatre). The National Trust’s individual event pages for Rainham Hall were also blocked this week, so the Rainham entries come from its events listing and carry no prices.

Getting there

The Queen’s Theatre is a 15-minute walk from Hornchurch station, and Rainham Hall is beside Rainham station. Havering Museum is on the High Street in Romford town centre, a short walk from the station. Hornchurch Stadium and the windmill are both in Upminster.
